Jet Airways (India) Pvt. Ltd. Jet Airways, which commenced operations on May 5, 1993, has within a short span of 13 years established its position as a market leader. The airline has had the distinction of being repeatedly adjudged India's 'Best Domestic Airline' and has won several national and international awards.

The Airline is an Active Member and a member of the IATA Clearing House and is also a participant of the IATA Multilateral Agreement for Passengers and Cargo Traffic.

Jet Airways has earned the distinction of receiving the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Registration. The airline has successfully completed the Operational Safety Audit and has entered into the IOSA Registry (www.iata.org/registry). The IOSA Programme is recognised by the member airlines of IATA as a benchmark for airline safety and quality.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 61 aircraft with 48 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, 3 Airbus A340-300E aircraft, 2 Airbus A330-200 aircraft and 8 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 5.3 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world. Jet Airways operates over 330 daily flights to 50 destinations that span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including London Heathrow in U.K., Singapore, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Bangkok in Thailand and Kathmandu in Nepal. The airline plans to extend its international operations to North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in the coming years with the induction of wide-body aircraft into its fleet from 2007. Since inception in May 1993 until end-January 2007, Jet Airways has flown close to 70 million passengers.

Jet Airways website has 24 countries and a multilingual site with Thai language. Their state-of-the-art online booking facility gives complete flexibility with a wide range of flights and colour coded fare families to help find the best available fare. Bookings are confirmed instantly based on seat availability and passengers can book, pay and print their e-ticket online in a simple 4-step procedure. The online booking facility offers 2 options of 'Fixed Dates' and 'Flexible Dates'. The 'Fixed Date' option displays the various levels of fares on a selected day, whereas the 'Flexible Dates' feature displays the lowest available fare for a seven-day period, in a single display. Online booking was never so simple and easy.

The 'Manage My Bookings' facility on the Jet Airways website is a suite of features, which allows passengers to retrieve & re-print their booking, as well as update special requests in their booking record.

  • With valid / unutilised travel itineraries.
  • Which have been ticketed.
To enhance customer convenience and delight, Jet Airways, has over the years launched innovative products and services such as the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) based payment and ticketing service. The airline has adopted this unique IVR technology to make payment and ticketing service easily accessible to its passengers.

Jet Airways' on line facility for Web Check-in is currently available for passengers holding a confirmed and valid E-ticket, any time between 48 hours and 60 minutes prior to their flight departure, in 29 of the airline's destinations across India.

Kiosk Check-in is available for domestic flights and can be completed at Jet Airways' kiosks located at the airport. When a customers uses kiosk check-in, the system performs a name check, verifies the PNR, enables passengers to select their preferred seats and print their boarding passes using the printer integrated with the kiosk.

Kiosk Check-in enables passengers carrying only hand baggage and an e-ticket, to proceed directly for security check and thus experience a hassle-free check-in. Currently, Kiosk check-in facility is available at the Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru Airports.

In yet another pioneering initiative by Jet Airways, JP Members will now be able to book, pay and generate an e-ticket on their Hutch mobile phone.

Mobile Ticketing is Jet Airways’ latest offering to JP Members that will provide yet another convenient option to book tickets sitting in the comforts of their home, office or even while on the move.

Jet Airways has also launched India's first Interline e-ticketing, partnering KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Northwest Airlines, British Airways, Emirates, United Airlines, Qantas, Continental Airlines, American Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Siem Reap Airways, El Al, Air Canada and Etihad Airways.

Interline e-ticketing is the ultimate & the latest ticketing method, which allows two carriers to electronically sell tickets on each other on a single document.

City Check-In Facility available for passengers travelling on our domestic network with hand baggage only at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Indore

Same day return flight check-in facility available throughout the network at stations/cities connected by same day return flights, provided both stations are connected on line by the Departure Control System. Jet Airways stations have tele-check-in facilities for Premiere, Club Premiere passengers as well as Jet Privilege Blue Plus, Gold, Silver and Platinum Card members.

Jet Airways recently introduced "check-in while walk-in" at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore airports. With a view to ease the process of check-in Jet Airways, this new initiative will facilitate the airline's passengers.

The airline has concluded, so far, agreements with 18 Through Check-In partners. This means that their luggage is through labelled and boarding passes issued for their onward international flights and vice versa.

Its interline agreements with 126 international airlines allow passengers to use interline documents on Jet Airways for their travel. Jet Airways also has interline agreements with 62 carriers for carriage of cargo to their destinations.

Winner of the prestigious Freddie Awards (2005 & 2006) Jet Privilege, Jet Airways' Frequent Flyer Programme (FFP) was relaunched in July 2004 making it India's first 5 tiered programme, each with its own unique set of privileges. It had added features such as Personalized interactive online access access to membership, ease of enrollment, multiple mileage earning opportunities, accrual of JPMiles on Jet Airways facilities, wide range of Programme Partners.

As part of its ongoing endeavour to provide maximum comfort and convenience to its valued customers, and in keeping with its non-discriminatory stance, Jet Airways is the first Indian air carrier to provide an In-flight Safety Instruction Manual in Braille for its visually challenged passengers. This 72 page manual has been printed in standard un-contracted Braille, which is an internationally accepted code and has been developed in English and Hindi
